Create OST file in Outlook 2010 / 2013:

1. Open Outlook and click the top Filemenu and then click the Info tab. Now choose Account Settings option.
2. Click the Account Settings button and Double-click the Microsoft Exchange to open more settings.
3. Click the More Settings.
4. Click the Advanced tab and click the Offline Folder File.
5. Enter the file path in file text box or browse the file which you wish to use and click OK.
   If this file already exists, you will be prompted to enter a new name. By default name of the OST file will be outlook.ost.
6. Click Ok and then click Finish.

You may get a prompt message “ filename.ost could not be found. Would you like to create it?”. Click OK to continue

Create OST file in Outlook 2007:

1. Open Outlook and click the Tools menu option and choose Account Settings.
2. Click the Account Settings button in Account Settings window.
3. Double-click the Microsoft Exchange to open more settings under E-mail tab.
4. Click the More Settings.
5. Click the Advanced tab and click the Offline Folder File Settings .
6. Enter the file path in file text box and click OK.If this file already exists, you will be prompted to enter new name. By default name of the OST file will be outlook.ost.
7. Click Ok and then click Finish.

Create OST file in Outlook 2002 & 2003:

1. Open MS Outlook. Click the E-mail Accounts menu from Tools dropdown menu option.
2. Click the View or change existing mail accounts and click Next.
   Do not select anything under Directory.
3. Under the “Outlook processes email for these accounts in the following order” box, click the Microsoft Exchange Server and click the Change
4. Click More Settings and then click the Advanced
5. Click the Offline Folder File Settings.
6. In the File field text box, type the path of the ost file that you wish to and click OK.
   If this file already exists, you will be prompted to enter new name.
7. Click the OK button and click Next.
8. Click the Finish button to complete the process.

Now the Offline Folder file (.ost) will be created.
